Quiet study areas include the reading room on level 2 and the social sciences room on level 1. Level 5 is also a much quieter floor than the lower levels of the library. For maximum solitude and relative quiet, students can reserve personal study rooms. Students should be aware that most study rooms have openings below the door or connected vents that allow for some sound to enter and exit the room, so they are not perfectly quiet.
