The new Family-friendly Study Area on Level 3, near the General Help Desk and the Snack Zone, is a great place for parents to care for their babies and small children. It is light and bright with large, low windows looking both outside the library and to the main Third Floor hallway.

The area is equipped with study tables & chairs. There are also two glass walled study tables for quiet space while your infant sleeps (or fusses without disturbing others). There are also many upholstered study chairs with moveable arm tables.

The room is equipped with little and big snack tables and facilities for simple food preparation. There are standard and kid sized restroom facilities. There are rocking chairs and a private space for nursing mothers.

Most important for children! There are toys! . . . lots of them and a fort and big windows looking outside and of course lots of books to look at.

Also in the library:

The women’s restroom - 4602 - on Level 4 (near the Asian Collection) also has a private lounge area with a couch, comfortable chairs and low tables.

There is a Koala Care changing table in the first large restroom stall.
