Many, but not all, interlibrary loan requests are eligible for renewal. Renewals depend on the library who sent us the book.

Find out if your item can be renewed by logging onto your My Account page https://lib.byu.edu/account/items/checked-out and click the renewal link on your item.

If your renewal request was received by us, you will receive an message saying “We have received your renewal request. We will shortly send you an email with your new due date”. You will then get an email within the next few days with your new due date.

If you receive an message saying “We are unable to process your renewal. Please contact us to request your renewal”, it is not currently eligible for renewal.

If you still need your item and it can’t be renewed, contact the Interlibrary Loan office at ill@byu.edu or 801-422-6344. We try to be as helpful as possible in either renewing your items or ordering another copy from a different library.
