A "recall" is a process by which a book checked out to someone is requested by another library user.
All library patrons have a guaranteed 3-weeks with a book, after that time a book is subject to recall.
If you are notified via email a book you have checked out is recalled, you have until the deadline in the notification to return the book.
Recalled items not returned by the deadline are subject to fines.
