All checked out items are subject to recall (shortened checkout periods). Checkout periods are shortened and assigned a new due date when another patron places a hold on an item and is waiting to get it. Recalling items is intended to help everyone have more equitable access to material they need in a reasonable time period.

If you are notified via email that a book you have checked out is recalled, you have until the new due date included in the notification to return the book.

Recalled items not returned by the deadline are subject to fines.
