STUDENTS - YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WHEN THE ITEM IS AVAILABLE

FACULTY - ITEMS ARE DELIVERED TO YOUR DEPARTMENT OFFICE

PLACE A HOLD ONLINE

 Access the library webpage at lib.byu.edu  

Login (click the link in the upper-right corner)

Use the search bar to find items by title, subject, author, and more

Select item you want by clicking on the title

Click "Request Item

Click "Submit request"

HOLD FOR ITEMS CURRENTLY ON THE SHELF 

Notifies library staff to retrieve it

You will receive an e-mail when the item is available

Holds are typically ready for you in about 24 hours

Pick up at the Circulation Desk on Level 3

HOLD FOR ITEMS ALREADY CHECKED OUT

You will receive an e-mail when the item is available

Pick up at the Circulation Desk On Level 3

It could be as long as 3 weeks before the item is available

If we cannot fill your request quickly, we will email a link to request the item through Interlibrary Loan

REMOVE A HOLD

If you no longer need something you placed on hold 

To do this, login to your account

Click "CANCEL" next to the item in your REQUEST list
