Citations can be confusing to create by hand, especially with so many different styles (i.e. MLA, APA, Chicago, etc).  Luckily, RefWorks can help you. The following list explains how to cite books by exporting their information from the Library's Scholar Search result page:

1. Once you have selected the book you wish to cite, click on the "Actions" button, then select "Send to RefWorks."

2. You will be prompted to create an account if you do not already have one and sign in to RefWorks if you are not already logged in to it

3.  All of the information for the book you have found in the Library's catalog will automatically be transferred into your RefWorks account.

4.  View the books in your RefWorks account. Select those you would like to include in the bibliography, then click on the "create bibliography" button located at the top of the page. Select the style you would like, then rejoice! RefWorks has created the bibliography entry for you.

*Important Note* RefWorks does not always create a perfect bibliography entry! Make sure to double-check the citation to confirm it follows the rules of your chosen style.
