Answer

Let me point you toward an impressive database that contains detailed histories of most companies. It is the International Directory of Company Histories. It's a little hard to search through but has everything you are looking for. You may have to click through the pages to find the exact company you are looking for. The information here is bar none the most comprehensive we have avaliable for histories of companies.

For a more summarized and brief history of companies you may be interested in checking out EBSCO and LexisNexis. In EBSCO you have access to many databases. Through searching I have found the only database in EBSCO with Company Histories is Dataminer. You will want to narrow your search to that database.

LexisNexis also has many databases avaliable. After your search for your company of interest, narrow the sources to Hoovers Reports, Global Data, and Canadean. These databases provide company histories

We hope this has been useful. If you have further questions, come to the Help Desk in the Social Sciences Department on Level 1, visit our webite at http://sites.lib.byu.edu/business,or contact us via chat.
