Answer

Locked case is a special location where we house unique, expensive or unusual books. Sometimes there are numerous different parts or are in a unique box set. Some are miniature books that will not stay in place on regular shelves. Some are books with beautiful plates or original art work. We also place items here that would be impossible to replace due to rarity or cost. Some are books individuals might try to censor but have a legitimate academic purpose.

Anything in Locked is available to anyone with circulation privileges who would like to check the item out. Check out period is 3 weeks.

Come to the Circulation Desk on the entrance level (3) in the Library and ask us to get the book for you. It helps if you have the call number handy!
