What is interlibrary loan?

If the HBLL does not have access to an article, book or other item you need for your research, we will contact another library who owns it and get you a copy.

Articles: We will email you a pdf scan of an article. View it electronically at your convenience. An article usually arrives within 2-3 business days.

Books:  We will borrow a print copy of the book for you from another library. Books typically arrive within 5-7 business days. Go to the Circulation Desk on Level 3 to check out your book. Check out times vary depending on the lending library. Renewals of Interlibrary Books also vary depending on the lending library.
