Answer

The Faculty Center, previously located in the Wilkinson Student Center, moved to the south end of the HBLL to anchor faculty-focused services like the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL), Intellectual Property Services, Technology Transfer and Copyright & Licensing. The Faculty Center helps new faculty be successful in the classroom and with their research through workshops and training sessions.

The HBLL is very excited to have the Faculty Center in the library as it provides an opportunity for new collaborations and provides another reason for faculty to come to the Library.

The relocation of the Faculty Center to the Library was the primary reason we were able to contstruct a south entrance - a HUGE win for students and faculty.

Through the Library's five-year space planning project, we plan to address the loss of study space by moving some of our lesser-used books and journals into compact shelving on Level 1.
