Q

Does the Library ever censor books?

I was reading a library book and discovered it has objectionable language and describes what I think are R rated events. I think this book should not be here in the library. What should I do?

The Library diligently tries to use their resources to purchase materials which are educational and uplifting and comply with the guidlines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

If you ever discover objectionable items in the library collection, you are encouraged to send us a report.

You can access the online report form at http://lib.byu.edu/about/reconsideration-of-materials/
