How do I register my computer or other network device so I don't have to login every time I use BYU network resources?

Answer

The Office of IT developed a system that allows users to register computers, smart phones, game consoles, and various other network devices free of charge through a self-service utility.  The registration allows a device to use BYU wireless and public wired network access without logging in or being scanned each time.  It is NOT necessary to register computers that connect to the BYU wired network in offices, OIT labs, department labs, and other work areas.

Computers are registered for four months.  Handheld, mobile, and gaming devices are registered for twelve months.  At the end of the registration period the device must be re-registered.  Persons responsible for registered devices will be notified by email 30 days prior to expiration.
